The short version

• The editor processes your .pptx in your browser. It has no ads, analytics or third-party scripts, and it does not upload your deck.
• The guide pages are planned to show Google AdSense ads. Once ads are on, Google and its partners may set and read cookies on those pages.
• Visitors in the EEA, the UK and Switzerland will see a consent message on the guide pages before personalized ads are used.

Files you open in the editor

The separate editor reads the .pptx you choose and processes its image descriptions in your browser. Its application code does not upload the deck, its pictures or the descriptions you type. Export creates a downloaded copy on your device.

The app holds the open deck and your edits in memory. It does not intentionally save them in local storage, IndexedDB, cookies or a service worker. Closing or reloading can lose unfinished edits, and downloaded files stay wherever your browser saves them. Browser caching, extensions, device management and backups are controlled by your own setup. The editor will not carry advertising, analytics or other third-party scripts.

Requests to load the sites

Visiting a hosted website sends requests for its pages and files. Cloudflare provides the hosting and processes connection and request information, including IP addresses and traffic information, to run and protect its services. The editor’s code does not include your deck or your descriptions in those requests. Processing the deck in your browser does not make the visit itself anonymous.

In the hosting configuration we checked, Cloudflare Workers Logs and Traces are off and Cloudflare Web Analytics is not set up. These settings do not stop Cloudflare’s own operational or security data processing, which is explained in its Privacy Policy. No fixed hosting-log retention period is promised here.

Advertising on the guide pages (Google AdSense)

Status: not yet active. Until ads are turned on, the guide pages set no cookies and load no ad code. We will update this page with ad-provider details once ads are live.

Once ads are active, guide pages on alttextaccessibility.com will show ads served by Google AdSense. Ads will not appear on editor.alttextaccessibility.com.

• Third-party vendors, including Google, use cookies to serve ads based on your prior visits to this website or other websites.
• Google’s use of advertising cookies lets it and its partners serve ads to you based on your visits to this site and/or other sites on the Internet.
• You can opt out of personalized advertising in Google’s Ads Settings. You can also opt out of some third-party vendors’ use of cookies for personalized advertising at www.aboutads.info.
• Other ad vendors or networks may also serve ads here. We will update this page with ad-provider details once ads are live.
• Google explains its practices in How Google uses information from sites or apps that use our services and on its advertising policy page.
• Even non-personalized ads use cookies. Google says non-personalized ads “do still use cookies or mobile ad identifiers for frequency capping and aggregated ad reporting” (Google AdSense Help).

Consent for visitors in the EEA, UK and Switzerland

If you visit the guide pages from the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom or Switzerland, a consent message will appear before advertising cookies are used where consent is legally required. It will be provided by a Google-certified consent management platform that works with the IAB Transparency and Consent Framework. Google requires this for personalized ads in those regions (Google AdSense Help). Once the consent message is live, you will be able to change or withdraw your choice at any time, and this page will link to those settings.

Accounts, payments and analytics

There is no account system, payment form or analytics on either site. The planned $4.99 full version is not available, and no checkout exists.

Links and practice downloads

Links to the editor and to reference websites open separate pages. The editor link carries no presentation, description or tracking parameter, and it opens without access to the page you came from. Downloading a practice deck requests our example file. It does not open or upload a personal deck.
